Chapa Namak refers to a special type of sun-dried apricot, traditionally lightly salted and then air-dried. These apricots mostly come from Afghanistan or northeastern Iran, where they are processed without sulfur or additives. The variety is known for its sweet and salty flavor and its dark, slightly leathery texture – a classic in traditional nomadic cuisine.
